Artist's Comments

** edit 02/09: re-shot this scene for the third time. First time was not in the best focus (I had taken it before I started using ground glass to get an accurate focus), second time there was some spotlight on in the middle that looked terrible (took the shot but never posted it), and third time (this shot) the spotlight was out, but I got so excited after shooting it I opened the back before winding. Luckily it was in the dark and this frame was further into the roll (I bracket a lot), so it was saved. Only half a frame at the end was burned. Each time it takes about half an hour of tedious work to line up the shot, so it's been a real piss off. **

Hasselblad 903SWC, Portra 100T.

Invisible City series.

The artist has solved the difficulty of night photography fantastically. The exposure is awesome, the composition is perfect, and the the contrast is spectacular." Great composition and neatness. Is interesting how desolation becomes evident regardless the shop's interior vivid colors and the friendly typography of the sign. Even places that are meant to be friendly and inviting can become the opposite under certain circumstances.

Nice work.
